Just over 1,700 Caged Northwest postcards have been sent to Bolton city council in support of the closure of Westhoughton Greyhound Stadium. Also with support from other Campaign groups over 5,000 Emails have been received by Bolton council in support of the closure of the track and the build of new homes on the site.
Westhoughton greyhound track was made famous about a decade ago when the BBC made a documentary called "Gone to the Dogs" Kenyon Investigates, in the programme Kenyon exposes the open sale of A class drugs which was on offer to dope the dogs up at Westhoughton.
